Museum-Quality Gold Leaf Nameplates
Handcrafting 23k gold leaf artist nameplates using traditional methods for the discriminating collector since 2014.
Quality Craftsmanship Since 2014, I have made museum quality gold leaf artist nameplates. They are primarily used for fine artist oil paintings and limited edition bronze sculptures though some have gone to label ship models, other collectibles, and even a room. I specialize in customizations and matching the artwork and its frame.
My nameplates are water gilded with 23 karat gold leaf on hardwood plates. They can be antiqued (darkened), have added imitation fly specks, or rubbed to show the bole color underneath. Other bole colors besides the oft used red are available, including yellow, black, gray, white, turquoise, and blue. Additional colors of gold such as moon gold (a warm white 22K gold), caplain gold ( 19K), lemon gold (18K), white gold (12K), silver, platinum, or palladium (slightly warmer than platinum, similar to silver) can also be used. If you send a photo of the frame I can match the gilding color and other details on your frame to the nameplate. Each are handlettered with permanent black ink and sealed. For each artist or collector, we will work together to determine the ideal lettering style for the painting, body of work, or art object.
